What is Botox?

What does the treatment involve?

We target the affected areas and with a tiny needle, we inject minimal amounts of Botulinum Toxin. This acts to stop the impulses from the nerves reaching the facial muscles, which helps to minimise the contractions that lead to wrinkles being formed. After the treatment has been concluded, the skin over these muscles will appear smooth and even, giving you a fresh, youthful appearance.

Does this treatment hurt?

No. There is no need for sedation, a local anaesthesia is used and as the needle is fine and the amount is small, there is a minimal level of pain.

How long does the treatment take?

The standard level of treatment is complete in 15 minutes, so you can have this treatment and then return to work or carry on with your day without disruption. 

How quickly do results appear?

Improvements can be seen in as short a time as two to three days and the overall effects and impact of Botox will be noticeable inside a week.

How long will the results last?
