Camilla Moutaadi is the highly talented and professional semi-permanent make-up artist behind Camilla M.

Semi Permanent Make-up (SPMU) sometimes referred to as Permanent Make-up or Micropigmentation is a type of cosmetic tattooing in which hypoallergenic mineral pigments are implanted just below the top layer of the skin.

This creates a shadow of colour which mimics the most exquisitely applied make-up. This is where it stays, gradually fading over time. Using specialist equipment to skillfully introduce pigments into the dermal layers of the skin this non-surgical, long lasting, beauty treatment can really enhances your facial features, appearance and confidence.

Semi Permanent Makeup can last for up to 2 years or more depending on a number of factors such as aftercare, age, medication and sun exposure.

CAMILLA'S STORY:

What sets Camilla apart from other technicians is that she is also a qualified Make-Up Artist with a degree in Fine Art and a background from Harley Street.

Camilla was trained at one of the world's most prestigious academies for Semi-Permanent Make-Up; Finishing Touches. She was taught by the country's very best and leading micropigmentation specialists on a digital machine that carries class 2a medical certification. This is the choice of surgeons, nurses and advanced micropigmentation technicians for over 140 NHS hospitals and top private clinics, such as those in Harrods and Harley Street in the UK, as well as Europe, Australia and the USA.

After having successfully graduated in Fine Art, Camilla went on to work in a private clinic in Hampshire before leaving to work on Harley Street assisting for over 80 doctors.

It was during her time here that she also enrolled as a student at The London College of Beauty and Aesthetics where she learnt about the applied methods of make-up and the various structures of the face, which included theories and practical examinations. She soon gained a diploma in Make-Up Artistry and a strong in-depth knowledge of the face.

She then went on to work as an in-house Make-Up Artist for a luxury beauty boutique where she worked alongside Make-Up Artists for Laura Mercia, Nars, Kevin Aucoin and Shu Uemura to name a few. She was also trained in many of the most advanced skin and hair care products on the high-end market enabling her to provide in-depth beauty consultations.

She honed her skills as a make-up artist, and worked on a number of high-end fashion shoots. Camilla soon realised that her real passion lay in helping people feel good about what they already had, the art of bringing out a person’s natural beauty rather then masking it. Essentially she combined her passion for art with her knowledge of medical aesthetics and took the leap of faith into Micropigmentation. She hasn’t looked back since.

My mission is to help people understand that Semi-Permanent Make-Up is by no means scary or painful, if anything it’s incredibly liberating and perfect for those who don't have the confidence in applying make-up or who simply, don't have the time”.
